We are working with a long-established client in the retail packaging manufacturing industry, known for producing high-quality, bespoke packaging solutions. With over 100 staff across design, admin, and production, the company is part of a larger group and is now seeking an experienced IT Technician to support their growing digital operations.
This is a hybrid role based in London, combining hands-on system support, software maintenance, and internal development projects. You’ll work closely with the wider group’s IT department, providing on-site support and contributing to group-level technology initiatives.

Ensuring the stability and security of the company’s IT systems
Performing daily system monitoring and routine backups using Veeam
Supporting and maintaining server infrastructure within a VMware environment
Administering Windows Server systems including:
Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
Managing Microsoft Exchange and Azure environments
Monitoring and maintaining network equipment including Fortinet firewalls and Aruba switches
Providing day-to-day IT support to staff across departments
Assisting in the development and maintenance of internal tools and software
Supporting Linux systems (basic maintenance and configuration)
Coordinating with third-party IT vendors and monitoring service levels
Identifying opportunities for process improvement using available technologies
Managing user access and permissions to uphold data security policies
Experience with VMware, Veeam, and Windows Server admin
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Exchange, Azure, and Active Directory
Familiar with Fortinet and Aruba networking tools
Experience with Linux systems (support and troubleshooting)
Capable of translating business needs into technical requirements
Able to support internal applications or assist with light development tasks
Clear communicator with excellent organisation and problem-solving skills
Experience within the packaging or manufacturing sector
Familiarity with ERP systems such as Shuttleworth or SAGE
Knowledge of tools like SAP R/3, ESKO, or iQuote (ePS)
Exposure to project management methodologies or IT documentation standards
