Our client is a trusted technology partner to the education sector, delivering robust IT services and support to schools and multi-academy trusts. With a focus on service excellence and long-term partnerships, they are seeking a Network Manager (Onboarding Specialist) to join their Service Delivery team.
The Role
This is a dynamic role combining technical expertise with relationship management. You will lead the onboarding process for new schools and trusts, ensuring IT infrastructure is set up to best practice standards while building strong, confident relationships with stakeholders. Acting as both a technical lead and a trusted advisor, you’ll manage networks, oversee onboarding projects, and ensure a smooth transition into the company’s services.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage onboarding projects for new schools and trusts, ensuring smooth transitions
Act as the main technical contact during onboarding, overseeing network and infrastructure setup
Coordinate with technical teams to deliver seamless service handover and long-term support
Run onboarding meetings, technical walkthroughs, and training sessions for school staff
Manage and maintain networks to ensure reliability, security, and compliance with educational needs
Identify opportunities to promote the full range of services and drive continuous improvement
Provide occasional cover and support for key contracts within the wider Service Delivery team
Key Requirements
5+ years’ experience in IT support, network management, or technical project delivery (2nd/3rd line level)
Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and MDM platforms
Proven experience managing school or multi-site networks (highly desirable)
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills – confident, people-focused, and engaging
Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
Relevant IT certifications or equivalent hands-on experience
Flexibility and willingness to travel regularly across London to support schools on-site
