Our client is a well-regarded Marketing Agency with a strong focus on the web design and development sector. With over 57 years of success, they are entering a pivotal stage of growth and are looking for a skilled Web and Systems Specialist to join their collaborative team.

The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, troubleshooting, and advising on technical solutions rather than pure coding. You’ll maintain and support client websites, oversee internal systems, and provide technical expertise for new projects. You’ll also scope functional specifications, advise on technical approaches, and act as a point of oversight on outsourced development work.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and support client websites (WordPress, WooCommerce, Elementor, and other CMS platforms)

• Troubleshoot and resolve website or hosting issues, liaising with providers as needed

• Support and configure internal platforms to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

• Translate client requirements into detailed functional specification documents

• Provide accurate technical estimates to assist the sales team

• Act as technical oversight on outsourced development projects

• Maintain clear documentation for both client and internal systems

• Stay up to date with best practices in WordPress, CMS platforms, and hosting environments

Skills & Experience Required

• Strong knowledge of WordPress and experience maintaining/supporting live websites

• Experience with WooCommerce and other CMS platforms

• Good understanding of hosting environments, DNS management, and liaising with providers

• Basic coding skills (PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery) for fixes and adjustments

• Experience supporting and configuring internal business systems

• Ability to create clear functional specifications from client requirements

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly

• Organised, detail-oriented, and confident working across multiple projects

• Version control (Git or similar) and familiarity with terminal/SSH (preferred)
