Our client is a leading MIS support provider, working with over 200 schools across the UK and supporting platforms such as SIMS, Arbor, and Bromcom. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a motivated Junior Helpdesk Consultant to join their expanding team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity to launch a career in IT support and EdTech.
The Role
As a Junior Helpdesk Consultant, you will act as the first point of contact for schools requiring MIS support. You will log, triage, and resolve queries, escalating where needed, while building your knowledge and experience with leading school systems. With full training, mentoring, and a clear development path, this role provides an exciting route into becoming a qualified MIS Consultant.
Key Responsibilities
Act as first-line support for schools using MIS platforms (SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom)
Answer helpdesk calls and log tickets in the support system
Triage, prioritise, and escalate queries as required
Respond to tickets via phone and email, gathering relevant information
Use the internal Knowledge Base to resolve issues and contribute new solutions
Shadow senior colleagues and assist with technical support tasks
Undertake training and accreditations in Arbor and Bromcom
Support broader helpdesk operations when needed
Requirements
Strong communication skills: confident, professional, and calm under pressure
Highly organised with excellent written and verbal skills
Curious, motivated, and eager to learn new systems and processes
Ability to absorb technical information and problem-solve independently
Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 (Word & Excel essential)
Desirable: some experience in a helpdesk/service desk role or in an educational setting
Open to recent graduates or returners to work

Salary: 26,000 per annum (with review after six months)
